As a girl with reasonably long lashes I sometimes get asked which mascara I use. My response is usually 'errrr...I'm not sure' as I've just whacked on what I could find that morning. But this got me thinking about which mascaras really do work so I picked my two favourites to share with you.

1 - EYEKO Drama and Curl - Black Magic

I got this eyeko mascara by chance in a Selfridges beauty box and have not been disappointed. Its curved wand creates perfect curled lashes and is easy to use. Although it's recommended for the evening I actually think this light mascara is perfect for day-wear. I also love the minimal packaging and it's a perfect size for travelling without taking up precious space in your toiletries bag! It's a bit pricier than high street products but its definitely worth the investment if you want clump free lashes that last all day!

2 - BOURJOIS Volume Glamour - Ultra Black

This Bourjois mascara would be my pick for a dramatic evening look. It has a really intense colour and volumises right from the root of your lashes. It's perfect with a smoky eye and you can get the fanned out long lashes every girl desires. Another feature I love is that it doesn't dry out and flake so your makeup will stay perfect all night long. It's priced at £7.99 which I think is great value for such an effective product.

The Festive Party Season is quickly approaching so I've been searching through thousands of options on asos to bring you my top six winter party dresses. I think these picks would make perfect outfits for any event on a chilly Christmas evening. I particularly love the forest green dress at number 2 as I think it's a great way to wear this seasons green trend whilst still looking glamorous. I love trying different shades of lipstick and especially so in the Autumn and Winter months. I think that the colder weather means you can try a much wider range of lipsticks good lip colour can make an outfit. So, as the days get colder, I've picked my must have lipsticks to share with you!

Charlotte Tilbury 'Glastonberry' - £23

First up is a Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution in 'Glastonberry'. On cold mornings, I love deep red shades as I think they add a dramatic warmth to a Winter outfit. I particularly love this lipstick as it's matte so has a rich texture too. I'd wear this shade with a chunky grey knit for effortless winter style.

Tom Ford 'In the Buff' - £36

Next up is a sheer lipstick by Tom Ford called 'In the Buff'. This lipstick is quite different to the last as it is completely nude in colour. I love the subtle shimmer and the fact that it contains Vitamins E & C and Shea Butter so your lips stay moisturised against windy cold weather. It reminds me of the glamorous make-up shown on Versace's A/W catwalk.

Bobbi Brown 'Mango' - £19.50

To create a youthful look this Autumn I recommend this lipstick by Bobbi Brown. The shade is named 'Mango' and I love the slight coral tone. I would pair it with a coral blush and light winged eyeliner to bring brightness to the darker days.

Nars 'Tolede' - £19.50

Quite often I like to enhance the natural rosy colour of my lips with a similar hue. I think Nars' 'Tolede' does just that. The long wearing lipstick looks natural but polished and is an easy way to lift your everyday make-up.

THIS WEEK ON ZARA

Zara is one of my favourite high street brands. I love their mix of unique and classic items and I think they bridge the gap between designer brands and the high street. This week I've hunted down my top three picks from their latest items.

My first pick is Zara's coated trousers at £35.99. I love how these trousers have a biker feel but are still subtle. They'd go with almost everything and I love how Zara have styled them in this picture.

Number two is this animal print t-shirt which is £29.99. The subtle take on leopard print adds detail to a simple t-shirt without being over the top. I would definitely wear this over the coated trousers.

At £69.99, my favourite pick is the leather ankle boots. I've read countless designer style updates about ankle boots in the past few weeks and this pair look far more Givenchy than high street. They would add an edge to any autumn/winter outfit.
